Cookie Policy

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They're used to remember information between visits, such as analytics identifiers, or to let a booking platform attribute a referral back to this site.
Cookies we use
Costa Rica Picks doesn't require an account, so we don't set any login or preference cookies. The cookies present on this site come from two sources:
- Analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity). Used to understand which comparisons and tours people actually click through on, so we know what to deepen or add next.
- Affiliate tracking (GetYourGuide, Viator, Travelpayouts). When you click a tour link, the destination platform sets its own cookie to attribute a booking back to us if you complete one. This doesn't affect the price you pay.
Third-party cookies
Analytics and affiliate-tracking cookies are set by third parties, not by Costa Rica Picks directly, and are governed by those companies' own privacy policies. We don't control what those cookies store or how long they persist.
How to control cookies
You can manage or block cookies in a few ways:
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their privacy/security settings.
- Google-specific analytics settings can be managed at Google Ads Settings.
Blocking cookies won't stop the site's tour comparisons from working, none of them require cookies to display. It may affect whether a booking platform can correctly attribute a referral back to us.
